Thanksgiving has come and gone, but Christmas is on the way! For Thanksgiving, I went to Vincennes to see my Great Grandma and Grandpa Cunningham. Then, on the day after Thanksgiving, I went to the Hadi Shrine Circus with Granny and Papah, where I saw clowns and all kinds of animals including a sea sponge (Spongebob Squarepants was there). I also went to GD Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights. I had a great time, and continue having a great time in these days leading tomy favoritist holiday. I haven't seen Santa yet this year, but hope to see him soon so I can ask him for all kinds of stuff! Oh, and one more thing..I'm going to be a big brother soon. I don't really know what that means yet, but Mommy and Daddy sure seem excited about it.

I can spell all kinds of stuff now! Thanks to a Disney House of Mouse episode that I have on dvd, I can spell M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. I can also spell the word H-I-T..as in HIT Entertainment, the producers of Thomas and Friends, Bob The Builder, and my favorite Fireman Sam. I was fascinated by the HIT logo that appeared at the beginning of my Fireman Sam dvd, and learned to spell the word by asking Mommy and Daddy. I also know how to spell..um.. well maybe not lots of stuff, but I know how to spell both things. And yes, I know what both means. I have been asking how other words are spelled, such as Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Financing. You know, FINANCING as in "Financing Provided By Evansville Commerce Bank" from the Silver Van which is really a black sign.

In other news, Granny gave me Doc Hudson and Dinaco McQueen toys on Thursday. Jason and Ally came over on Saturday and gave me new lip balms, a new (real nonworking, but I ♥ it) phone and lots of candy to supplement my Halloween stash. And I have really exciting news about Friday, but I can't tell anyone yet.

To paraphrase Mater from the movie Cars, Trick-Or-Treating is fuu-uu-uun! Last night I had a great time going door to door collecting candy from people all over the neigborhood! Maybe Dad will post some pictures soon. When I returned, I drew a real smiley face on my Aqua-Doodle pad. Mommy wanted a picture, but Daddy couldn't remember where he laid the camera until after the picture disappeared. Anyway, I was real proud that I drew the circle, then gave it "eyes for dots" and finished it off with a smiley. Yesterday was a blast, and today is going pretty well also. Before my pancakes, peanut butter, and candy bracelet lunch, I handed Mommy bowling pins while proclaiming proudly, "I'm sharing with friends!" After lunch I took my Leappad to my bedroom, after packing the books and cartridges into my "purse". Finally, Daddy read me some books and tucked me in for my afternoon nap, which is where I am at right now. Who knows what the rest of the day will bring?

Fish and french fries were the order of the day at Knob Hill last night. I ate em and they were good. Then I had Granny candy and we went to Buy Low and Papah got me a Jack-O-Lantern balloon. Now I know how what a Jack-o-lantern looks like, if I decide to draw one on the HUGE pumpkin Granny brought over for me. Two days ago, on Sunday, we all went to see my other Papah and Mamah at their house. I ate barbeque and French Fries and then had a whole cupcake for dessert. Luckily, I went for two walks, so I could burn off all those excess calories. I don't want to ruin my svelte figure in one night, however delicious the Little Debbies may be.

I have been thanking people for everything lately. Often, I will say, "thanks for cooking" even if I have no intention of eating (or tasting) the food I am served. The other day I thanked Daddy for making me such a nice room, even though all he did was clean it. I thank my parents for things they did months ago. I am still thanking them for the presents I received on my birthday. Mommy and Daddy think I just like to hear, "You're Welcome" but really, I am just super polite!

Yesterday, I went with Granny and Papah to Golden Corral. Last Sunday, I went to a dinner at Nativity Catholic Church. I met Duster the Clown, and he made me a balloon puppy. Last month was really great! I turned 3-years old, and got lots of new toys. Mommy and Daddy made me a cake that looked like Elmo, although I am still into Cars (with Lightning McQueen). I actually like reading the Cars books Mamah got me, and playing with the Cars toys Granny got me, more than watching the movie repeatedly like I used to. In other DVD news, my Wiggles obsession has been fading, but I still ask to watch them occassionally. My favorite movies lately have been home videos from when I was a baby. I danced and shook in excitement yesterday afternoon, while watching myself open last years Christmas presents on TV. Daddy needs to make a DVD of River watching River on DVD..everyone will laugh and I'll smile real big and say, "Is that funny?!"

Wall-E was a really good movie. That's right, I went to Showplace Cinemas and saw a movie in an actual theater for the first time. I was really good, only crying once because I got scared of loud explosions, but there was only one person in the theater besides me, Mommy, and Daddy so I didn't really bother anyone. I was also scared of the magic restroom toilets that flushed all by themselves. Daddy said the toilets were magic after I commented on the blue water, but suddenly the commode proved it by flushing itself before I was even finished peeing! I screamed and nearly knocked Daddy over trying to get away as it flushed a second time. After washing my hands, I went back into the movie and ate M&Ms and lots of suckers that Mommy brought with her. I was well behaved throughout the movie, although I talked loudly on occassion about the Wiggles and how much fun I had at Arbys before going to see Wall-E. After the movie, I stomped in puddles created by the rain. That was fun. I had a great day today, and look forward to seeing more movies in the future.

I went to Cheeseburger in Paradise with Granny and Papah Harms yesterday. The day before that, Mamah and Papah Luig visited me. Last week I saw my Great-Grandma Harms at the nursing home. I have a few pictures of us together. I also saw much of my family on August 10th at a FreeMason Fish Fry. My Daddy wrote about it here on his blog. This hasn't been my best entry, because I have been feeling sick. I probably caught something in the nursing home..oh well, I'm off to watch my Wiggles DVDs!

Today, my parents gave me ice cream with lots of sprinkles for dessert, after (pizza) lunch. They took my pants and shirt off before I ate, because my clothes were clean and I sometimes get a bit messy. After lunch, I grabbed my clothes off the couch, and put both my pants and shirt on by myself! They weren't even backwards! I did as good a job as Mommy or Daddy could have. In other news, I went on a picnic last Sunday with Jason and Aly. Also, since I last wrote, Teresa and Booty came over with Granny and Pahpa and we all went to Captain Ds for fish. I enjoyed my fish, and since then haven't quit talking about how much I enjoyed when Tracy and Booby visited me.

At 11:00 pm I ran into the computer room, naked from the waist down and carrying my pajama pants and underwear. I asked Mommy and Daddy "did you go pee?" which is my way of telling them that I peed. Daddy noticed that the clothes in my hand were dry, so he tried to lead me to the 'grown-up' potty. This was odd, because I had already used the big-kid potty by myself. This is the first time I have ever gotten out of bed and used the potty without being prompted. I received lots of praise and stickers and have been in bed, proudly talking about it for the last twenty minutes.

Today is Sunday. Usually, I would be having dinner at Maamaw and Papaw Luig's house, but they are on a mini-vacation in Tunica with their friends Gill and Rita. Instead I went there on Friday and ate pulled-pork bbq for the first time (and loved it). Last Tuesday, I went to Cheeseburger in Paradise with Granny and Papaw Harms. I saw somebody besides my Daddy playing guitar. It was great, and I ate burgers and chocolate ice cream with lots of sprinkles. I can't quit talking about it. My favorite thing these last few days, have been flavored lip balms. I smear these balms all over my face and look beautiful. Trust me, I don't just say that I look beautiful..I AM beautiful.

Granny and Papaw took me, Daddy, and Mommy to the Bonefish Grill on Monday to celebrate Granny's 56th birthday. A week ago I went to Acropolis..wow, I have been eating french fries and using potties all over this great city of Evansville. About two months ago, I rode on a festival ride for the first time; some cars that went in a circle and bounced up and down. I loved it! Speaking of cars, Cars is my favorite movie at the moment. I watch it every day. In other news, my crib was converted into a big-boy bed.."it was awful nice of daddy to make me a big-boy bed."

Today, I peed on a full-size potty for the first time! I was at Mamaw and Pahpaw Luigs' house', and Daddy and Mommy had forgot to bring my potty with them. I haven't had an accident in days, and even though I had on a diaper under my bigboy underwear, I held my pee for hours before Mommy decided to let me try the grown-up toilet. My diaper was dry and stayed dry on the trip back home (what I call River's house)as well. The Easter bunny left baskets of candy, puffs, chips, cute shirts, and Thomas the Train underwear for Mamaw and Papaw to give me. If I had a nickle for every basket, I would have a basket full of nickles (except my basket would be gone and I would just have a bunch of nickles and nowhere to put my candy and gifts). I almost forgot - I know the second verse to "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister. Daddy sings and plays the song sometimes on his acoustic guitar, but today, at dinner, I decided to sing the second verse for everyone, instead of just the chorus which I have liked singing for several weeks now.

Daddy hasn't been keeping this up to date! For Easter today, I went to Granny and Papaw Harms' house. Granny made a big delicious Easter dinner, but I only ate crackers, Cheerios, and "Granny Candy" (smarties and sweettarts) because I try to avoid consuming "real" (non-crackers & cheerios)food. I also drank out of a cup with no lid, for the first time yesterday. I had three cups of chocolate milk and didn't spill hardly any! Granny gave me an Eater basket a few days ago filled with candy and toys! I used the basket (minus goodies) yesterday for my first Easter Egg hunt. The event was at at Mater Dei High School (West Side Nut Club Hunt).

I began potty training today. Daddy made me a sticker chart, and I get a sticker each time I pee, and a really big sticker if I doodie. I never wrote about Christmas..I received a bunch of cool stuff from Mommy and Daddy (aquadoodle, easle/chalkboard, and some electronics) but my biggest gifts were a battery powered car/atv (Arctic Cat)from Granny and Papaw Harms and a ballpit/slide from Mamah and Pahpaw Luig.

I counted to ten before bed today! After every number, Mommy and Daddy repeated the number I had just said. They didn't expect me to keep going after I reached four, but I did. I have spoken the names of all the numbers at different times before, but never in order. I love to amaze my parents lol.

Yesterday was my 20 month birthday! Grandma Harms baked me a delicious pineapple/coconut cake, but I can't wait till four months from now when I get presents! Anyway, my homepage has been completely redesigned. This blog site will soon be replaced by a different blog styled to match the site (although with a different stylesheet), but all the old versions of pages will be kept available in the archive area of this site. Anyway, welcome to RiverCobain.com 2.0! Videos have been added, but they will eventually be organized on a "videos" page on my host, QualityHostOnline. Dad is also working on a way to make update announcements in real time on the update page, but hasn't decided the best way to do it. I am saying new words every day now. Maybe I will compile a list of words that I use..maybe not; who knows?

Wow this hasn't been updated in a while. April 1st, I ate with a fork that I held, for the first time.. No foolin!, I was at Grandma Luigs eating spagetti, and I scooped some onto my fork and stuck it right in my mouth. Then I did it a few more times, before deciding that my fingers were still much easier to control. Yesterday Granny Mary brought me an Easter basket filled with Candy. I ate a bunch before going to Wolfs Barbeque with Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Beth. I ate a ton of food off their buffet, then went home to watch Happy Feet, which was in my Easter basket. I have to try and watch it again because my attention span isn't big enough for me to watch a full movie in one sitting, but heck..I bet if mommom (what I call her) and daddy had as many toys as me, they wouldn't be able to sit and watch a full movie either. There is just too much other fun stuff to do. Oh, Grandma and Grandpa Luig are having a new house built! I can't wait to see what kinds of cabinets it will have. I love cabinets!

It's the new year - strange - I don't feel any different..anyway, I asked mommy, "where's he going?" today while watching Noddy drive off in his car. Mommy was amazed, because either the question had never occured to her, or else I guess I had never asked the question in such a distinct manner. I heard mommy tell daddy, that if she "hadn't known any better, I would have thought the question came from a 4 year old." Wow! I must be getting big! Unfortunately, in all the commotion, I never did find out where Noddy was going.

Happy New Year! It was a Merry Christmas as well. I received so many new presents, that if I stacked them all on top of one another, the pile of gifts would be taller than my mommy and daddy combined (even standing on their tippy-toes). We are all ill right now, so when midnight strikes and other revelers shoot fireworks, yell, and use noisemakers..we will just blow our noses real loud. Then we will all hug and celebrate the end of a wonderful 2006 and resolve to make 2007 the best year ever! I will talk more about my presents and my wonderful Christmas, later. Right now, I need to start dancing my way into 2007.

On November 15th, I stood up by myself for the first time! I was in the middle of the floor, and after two quick attempts, I pushed myself up with my hands into a standing position! Yesterday, I got a second molar - I now have one on each side of my mouth. I just got back from Bob Evans with Grandma and Grandpa Harms where I had eggs, pancakes, some bacon, and a bit of crepe with rasberries..yummy! Halloween was rather uneventful since I wouldn't let mommy put me in my turtle outfit, but soon I'll let her take some pictures of me in it, even though it is almost Thanksgiving.

Today, I got a side tooth! I showed it to Mommy when I was brushing my teeth at bedtime..actually I just laughed really big and she noticed it. Mommy called Daddy in to look at it, and they were both so proud of me. Now I can chew more stuff than ever. In other news, I'm walking really well now. Grandma Mary and Grandpa Harms bought me some new walking shoes, and I like them alot..they are fun to kick off and make Mommy or Daddy stick em back on again.

Friday, Sept. 21st, I took my first steps! I had run and fallen into Mommy before, but these were very calculated steps. I took five steps altogether towards Mommy, and then she congratulated me with lots of hugs and kisses. I have repeated this feat several times in the past couple of days, and Daddy even caught it on his Digital-8 camcorder. In other news, I put up the professional pics that my Grandma Luig had taken of me at Sears. These pictures are located here on pg2 of the 11 month photos on my Pics page. I have many more pictures to display, so keep checking back. Daddy needs to help me put up a page featuring updates. In the meantime, you'll just have to visit periodically to see whats new.

Sept. 8th, I turned 1 year old!!! I've been so busy playing with all my new toys that I haven't had time to update my site. My biggest gifts were a video Karaoke machine from Grandma Mary and a great new toybox/bookshelf from Grandma Luig. I got other stuff too; toys from Mom and Dad and my Grandparents. Lots of things that talk and play music. For instance, I got a singing Elmo from Grandma and Grandpa Luig and a set of stackable legos from Grandma Mary and Grandpa Harms. Mom and Dad got me a singing/talking bunny and a puzzle that plays music. I got so much cake and ice cream that I'll probably be on a sugarrush for the next month. Pictures will be posted soon! I'm gonna go play now, but will be blogging again soon after I get my 11 month pictures up..I got some good ones (I'm so photogenic :)

I drank from a straw for the first time today. I was with my Grandma Mary, Grandpa Harms, and great Aunt and Uncle Teresa and Booty. We went to Long John Silvers and I ate a ton of chicken, fries, and cole slaw. Then Mommy put a straw in my mouth and I drank a bunch of sugary soda out of her cup. It was really cool and I didn't even spit any out! I swallowed, kept drinkin, and even swallowed some more. My mom freaked out because she underestimates my talent, so she jerked the straw out of my mouth. After thinking about it for a minute, she realized how impressed she was, and put it back.
My guestbook has been down the last few days. Dad tried to update it, and had some problems. Now he's trying to install the backup, but is having trouble importing the sql files. He will work on it soon and none of the entries should be deleted. It may be a week or so because he is busy with schoolwork and I'm busy turning T.V.s on and off.

Two weeks ago I helped my Gtrandma and Grandpa Luig move into their new house. It is just a rental, but it has a pool and everything. Some members of my family came over to help too! I got to see my cousin Blake who is only a month older than me! We played together and had all kinds of fun. There are pics of it all in the 10 Month pg. 2 gallery! And last week, I got to go swimming in my grandparents BIG pool for the first time! My Grandpa took me all around the pool; I was a lil unsure at first, but after a while I got used to it and had a blast! I kicked my little legs and splashed water everywhere! Mom and Dad took pictures and video. I look forward to swimming alot more in the near future.

I just recently learned that my favorite T.V. host in the world was fired!! Apparently, she made a couple of 30 second paradies of Public Service Announcements 7 years ago. These fake ads for a nonexistent website called technicalvirgin.com contained no nudity or foul language. Information about her firing can be found at SproutletsGrow.com. Melanie has hosted The Goodnight Show on PBS Sprout since before I was even born. I am very disappointed in PBS for taking her away from me and all the other kids. Please write to info@sproutletsgrow.com and tell them to put her back on the air!

Last Saturday, Mom and Dad went to the Ozzfest in Saint Louis. Dad's Nephew, Kyle, won tickets from 103 GBF and was not able to go. System of a Down were there, and they are one of my dad's favorite bands ever! Maybe dad will post some pictures from Ozzfest in the near future.

Dad finally got around to putting rivercobain.com on the web. I now have a mouth full of teeth and am starting to walk around, holding on to the couch for support. I am eating stage 3 jars of baby food, and whatever table scraps I can convince my parents to give me. I had spaghetti and a meatball yesterday - wow! Who knew that such good stuff existed?! Anyway, dad switched to a different guestbook so all past signatures are lost. Wow, last time my dad updated, I wasn't even crawling yet..Mommy had thought I would never crawl, but I was just waiting to surprise her on Mothers Day!
My Daddy needs to update more. I am going to give him a good talking to when I learn how to speak properly, with real words. For now, I'm just going to pull his hair. That'll teach him!

Three weeks ago I got my first tooth! What is even more amazing is that I got a second tooth the very next day! They are both in the bottom center of my mouth. I can't wait to start biting stuff. I have been pretending to chew my solid food ever since I started eating it, but soon I will be chewing for real!
